Swanton’s Lock started off as a SCALESCENES box file project during lockdown. It was quickly seen as having limited operational potential so the decision was made to extend it to form both a small shunting layout plus a project to see how much realistic scenery and SCALESCENES buildings could be incorporated into a 5ft long layout on two levels.
The points and uncoupling ramps are operated by servo motors using MERG electronic components.
This layout is available to exhibit for one or two day shows.
